They fight for civil liberties and environmental balance. They hope that people sentenced for cannabis-related crimes are released and their records are expunged.

They also support other social and political issues. They combat global warming. They believe in single-payer healthcare that would increase healthcare access. They fight for tuition-free higher education. They believe in promoting social equity through cannabis legalization.

Legal Marijuana Now Party

The Legal Marijuana Now Party is one of the cannabis political parties that aim to end prohibition. They have been recognized as a political party in Minnesota. They are using their recognition to give voters the chance to support legalization by writing “legalize marijuana now” next to their names on the ballot.

The organization is part of the Grassroots Party. It was established in 1998. In addition to being an official political party in Minnesota, it also has chapters in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Iowa.

Most cannabis-related bills introduced in Congress are initiated and backed by Democratic politicians. Many Republicans are against marijuana reform. If a Republican takes office in 2024, it is unlikely that marijuana will be legalized.
